Virgin mobile has finally released its iPhone 4 plans

You'd think that with the extra time it's had to compile its plans that Virgin would have made the information clear. Right? Unfortunately not.

Peruse the chart below and try to explain why a 32GB iPhone 4 on the $39 Smart Cap costs exactly the same total outlay per month as on the $29 Easy Cap but on the Smart Cap you receive an extra 1.4GB data allocation.

Similar strange results occur in other price ranges. For example a 16GB iPhone on the $49 Smart Cap costs the same as on the $39 Smart Cap but if you check the data allocation there is a 500MB discrepancy, and so on …

If you intend to purchase from Virgin you will need to do your homework before committing to a plan — you do not necessarily have to pay more to get more!
